2015 was definitely one for the books!
I started off 2015 by NOT clocking into my corporate job. With a little one on the way, my husband and I decided that it would be best to quit my corporate job to stay home with the babe and really focus on Mint for Hue. Just 2 weeks into the year, we welcomed our sweet baby Emerson into the world. Read more about his first months here.
Spring was a whirlwind, trying to figure out the whole parenting thing while juggling wedding stationery design. You would think with a newborn that sleeps quite a bit you would have a ton of time on your hands. Boyyyy, was I wrong! 🙂
Summer was a blur working on a ton of wedding packages for clients, getting the babe outside to enjoy the summer sun, and the never-ending house reno projects, like building a garage and pouring our own concrete patio. (Why oh why did we buy a fixer upper??!) Not to mention, the hubs turned the big 3-0 and I threw him a surprise pig roast party. And just my luck, it was 95° that day.
I thought that in Fall I would get a breather. Silly me. My husband and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary in September. I worked on a few personal projects, like updating my portfolio, as well as participating in The Wedding Party Bridal Show at Lake Wissota Golf.
Winter is always complete chaos. We celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas with both families, as well as starting a few Christmas traditions of our own with the little, but not so little anymore. Although I really love a white Christmas, the lack of snow really made for great travel conditions.
That was my year in a nutshell! It definitely went by way too fast, even though some days seemed to last forever (like the 2am feedings and pacing the house trying to get the babe back to sleep.) I am excited to see what this year holds for my little family, to watch my baby boy grow into a toddler, and for the new adventures and opportunities that come my way.
